iPlay is not a play, it is an intimate testimony, a cry of an individual who is an icon to himself however despite of (or maybe in spite of that?) the world refuses to subordinate to him. That is why he needs applications for life. He needs art.
iPlay is not a game. It’s 100 applications for life.
Bernhard Studlar in his newest play follows the tradition of the most famous Austrian playwrights of the 20th century – Thomas Bernhard, Peter Handke, Elfriede Jelinek…
His existentialist monologue for three actors is a collage where poetics mingle with ironic humour, denounce and the most intimate feelings of uncertainty and a strong longing to identify ones self.
The play by the Austrian playwright Bernhard Studlar was created especially for Theatre Letí (within the Generation Icons international project), and will be introduced to Czech audiences in Prague and Brno in a limited edition in autumn this year.
